"Design Office: Kim Gordon in collaboration with Feeding Tube Records at Gagosian Gallery, 'Living on the Edge of Obscurity'"

Gagosian Gallery and Feeding Tube Records are pleased to announce Living on the Edge of Obscurity, a 558 page-a-day calendar in an edition of 558, produced in 2016 on the occasion of "Design Office: Kim Gordon in collaboration with Feeding Tube Records" at this year's edition of the Printed Matter's LA Art Book Fair.

3 1/8 × 5 1/4 × 4 1/4 inches (7.9 × 13.3 × 10.2 cm); 561 page-a-day-calendar; Fully illustrated; Accompanied by plastic base

Designed by Kim Gordon in collaboration with Feeding Tube Records

Limited Edition of 558

__________

When Kim Gordon and Byron Coley, founder and owner of Feeding Tube Records, sent their daughters to work at the store for a summer, they hoped for them to emerge with an expanded knowledge of counterculture, a greater appreciation for rare vinyl, and a stronger work ethic; instead, several gigabytes of selfies appeared on the store's computer hard drive. To commemorate the efforts of their progeny, Gordon and Coley have paired each of the 558 selfies with important birthdays and dates in counterculture, art, and feminist history, to create a 558 page-a-day calendar that spans the period February 29, 2016, to September 8, 2017.

The limited edition calendar will be available at the Gagosian booth (Booth J) at the 2016 LA Art Book Fair and Gagosian Shop beginning Thursday, February 11, at 6pm.
