A limited edition portfolio of thirteen photographs by world-renowned photographer, Ken Heyman taken in 1964, including images of Andy Warhol, Claes Oldenburg, James Rosenquist, Tom Wesselmann and Roy Lichtenstein. An essay by Neil Printz, editor of the recently published Andy Warhol catalogue raisonne, accompanies the portfolio. The edition consists of forty-five copies, five artist's proofs and two hors commerce copies; each 11 x 14 inch print is signed and numbered, the whole housed in a folding cloth covered box (15.75 x 12.5 x 1.6 inches; 40 x 32 x 4 cm)

Pop Artists 1964 - Photographs by Ken Heyman
Ken Heyman was commissioned to photograph the artists for the first monograph on the Pop Art phenomenon, Pop Art (Basic Books, 1965) from which these images were drawn. In his 45 years of photography Ken Heyman has published 54 books of photographs and taken pictures in most of the countries of the world. He was Margaret Mead's photographer for 20 years creating images for her anthropological studies. He has completed 150 assignments for Life magazine and been a full member of Magnum. His most recent solo show was at New York's American Museum of Natural History in September 2002.
